Labelled the first multi-award winning Anglo-Italian Pizzeria in London, Eco Restaurants was founded in 1993 by Sami Wasif.
Born in Beni Suef, Egypt, Sami grew up surrounded by culinary craftsmanship. Today, he honours his roots by incorporating traditional Egyptian sourdough into authentic Italian recipes, serving one of the most remarkable sourdoughs London has to offer.

First launched in Clapham, the ‘relaxed, neighbourhood restaurant’ allows locals to experience authentic Italian cuisine firsthand, including homegrown fermented sourdough pizzas cooked in wood-fired ovens.

Alongside pizza, Eco’s guests can enjoy wholesomely delicious and hearty pasta dishes as well as an array of other traditional Italian recipes. The restaurant’s menu also boasts an extensive selection of cocktails to be tasted by over-18s.

In October 2021, Eco opened the doors to their new restaurant in Kingston upon the Thames, located just next to the River Thames.

Eco Restaurants are celebrating Valentine’s day by creating delicious heart-shaped pizzas along with a special set menu at both its Clapham and Kingston venues, available from Friday 11th – Monday 14th February.

Whether you’re celebrating with your other half, or choosing to spend Valentine’s with friends, pizza is always the perfect answer to ‘what shall we have for dinner?’. In celebration of the day of love, Eco has created a Valentine’s special with toppings of asparagus, rose pepper and artichoke. More of a plain and simple soul? Margheritas will also be available in heart shape, just for you.

These tasty heart-shaped treats will be available for both dine-in and take away! After all, the way to a win a heart is always through their stomach! Book before February 1st to receive a glass of Strawberry and Rose Bellini on arrival.
