Weekend ready at Oslo Hackney
Situated in London’s trend-setting and flourishing area of Hackney Central is a restaurant, bar and live menu venue, Oslo.
The light, airy and striking ground floor restaurant and bar not only offers a laid-back environment to eat, meet and drink in but also provides an all-day hangout spot in the heart of East London.
With a newly appointed Head Chef, Adrian Watters, at the kitchen’s helm, Oslo’s new food menu celebrates the very best of British ingredients while also offering a modern take on old-school comfort food favorites. Joining the Oslo team with years of culinary experience under his belt, Adrian began his career working under the enigmatic Henry Harris in Harvey Nichols 5th floor Restaurant before landing his first head chef role working for Soho House Group.
Oslo’s new menu is dedicated to grazing, brunching and laid-back dining and features light starters and snacks, as well as Oslo’s traditional hearty weekend sharing roasts and delicious weekday dinners.
The Oslo menu would not be complete without its signature burgers, as well as an indulgent new dessert menu, which includes a chocolate & Guinness cake with Baileys pouring cream.
Located in a unique redeveloped space of a railway station, the two-story building is positioned next to Hackney Central on Amhurst Road and was built by the North London Railway Company in 1870.
The high ceilings and open plan interior display a large main bar with seating, which is surrounded by long dark oak tables, ideal for large groups.
Stylish lighting fixtures appear throughout the venue and are set off by the exposed brick walls. The upstairs gig room with a 350-person capacity backs onto a private ‘Green Room,’ bar which can host up to 75 people for private parties.
