Canary Wharf has a new Southern Californian all-day dining spot.
From the rugged Cornish coast to London’s global business hub, Shutters combines these two parallels perfectly into a single space.
Open on the hotel-style ground floor of One Canada Square; Shutters is an ever-evolving restaurant and bar. Open each day for brunch from 8 to 11 am, all-day dining from noon to 10 pm, plus proper roasts on Sundays.
Divided into two floors, Shutters has an impressively designed bar, with an extensive dining area, above a private space with outstanding views, an excellent spot for hot desking or finding a few quiet moments away from the office.
Shutters Canary Wharf delivered a connection with local Cornish products fresh from her shores and fields and prepared, cooked inspired by the vibrant sun-soaked living of Southern California.
From small starters plates perfect for sharing from the raw bar, such as globe artichoke & aubergine ftitty, or the cornish crab nachos to the smoked salmon ceviche.
Shutters are known for their freshly quality seafood. A highlight from the many will be their well-known crispy seabass, made with sticky soy and chilly. Or the whole lobster that comes with beautiful garlic and lime butter sauce.
They also have a few vegetarian & vegan-friendly options, such as the baked avocado, which comes with grilled flatbread, spinach, cherry tomatoes & pickled red cabbage.
To finish off, Shutters has an excellent selection of desserts for those with a sweet tooth. From a malibu hot fudge to the mini churros with duce de Leche and cinnamon sugar dust.
Let’s talk about the drinks. From extraordinary wines and bubbles to the best cocktails, shutters have the perfect combination of drinks. One of my favourites was about last night, an ideal gin to start up, and the roses are rose pretty as the picture.
