An Extravagant Mother’s Day at RAI, Fitzrovia
Recently opened RAI in Fitzrovia know that the leading ladies in our lives deserve the best, and that’s why Executive Chef Padam Raj Rai is pulling out all the stops with an extravagant 10-course tasting menu, available exclusively on Mother’s Day weekend (26-27th March).
Fusing the highest quality Japanese dishes with the very best ingredients from the UK and worldwide, RAI’s Mother’s Day menu offers a truly gastronomic experience with picture-perfect plates and sublime flavour combinations from start to finish. Unique ingredients to look out for on the menu include a 38-year aged kamebishi soy sauce from the Okada family (who have been making this since 1753) and the finest Sanpuku nori, sourced from the shores of Japan’s Ariake Sea.
Served across ten show-stopping courses, the menu features chef Padam’s favourite dishes, highlighting squid & fatty tuna somen with caviar, new style seared butterfish sashimi with red jalapeno sauce, and eel maki with cream cheese and koshihikari rice. There’s a perfectly balanced pumpkin, plum wine and coconut ice cream with yuzu foam, or chef Padam’s signature 40% wagyu fat chocolate for dessert.

Mother’s Day Menu at Upstairs at Trinity
Upstairs at Trinity has a fabulous Mother’s Day menu that would be perfect for any Mother’s day restaurant round-ups you may be working on.
Available on the 27th March and priced at £50.000 per person, the menu includes English asparagus with warm semi smoked salmon and a soft pheasant egg, herb-crusted rack of lamb with Boulanger potatoes and warm polenta cake with rose, pistachio and almonds. The full menu can be seen below.
Adam is currently celebrating 15 years of Trinity and is a much loved and well-respected chef with an influential following. The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall visited last Summer, and the restaurant is often visited by the great and sound of the food world, including Tom Kerridge, Gordon Ramsay, and the late Michel Roux was a fan.

Hush Mayfair Launches New Afternoon Tea in Time for Mother’s Day
A quintessentially British delight, Hush Mayfair, in the heart of Mayfair, is offering a brand-new afternoon tea just in time for Mothering Sunday, with three tempting options, from classic and champagne through to gin cocktails.
Available on Sunday 27th March, and then from Monday – Friday weekly from 2 pm until 4.30 pm, afternoon tea at Hush Mayfair is an elegant affair. Situated in the beautiful Brasserie or captivating Courtyard, indulge in delicate and flavourful finger sandwiches – think honey roast ham and mustard; oak cured salmon with chive crème Fraiche; and traditional cucumber and butter on fluffy white bread. Scones are, of course, a must – at Hush Mayfair, they are freshly baked and served with lashings of raspberry jam and clotted cream. Suitably sweet treats include honey financiers, zingy mini lemon meringue pies, indulgent cream-filled gold-leaf chocolate eclairs and rainbow macarons.
The Traditional Afternoon Tea is priced at £50 for two, whilst for an extra special event, opt for the Gin & Jam Tea, priced at £70 for two and including a gorgeous gin cocktail each. Choose from the T N Tea – a perfect pour of Tanqueray Gin, Savoia Bitters, nectarine, gunpowder tea and Fever-Tree Soda Water; whilst the Breakfast Negroni is an irresistible blend of Highclere Castle Gin, Belsazar Rose Vermouth, Select Aperitivo, English breakfast tea and orange marmalade.
