The Folly Brunch

Just off of the bustling and busy Gracechurch street lies a little sanctuary called, ‘The Folly’. A place that can only be described as beautiful.

he Folly delivers a wonderful experience with a menu that reflects the clear vision and atmosphere of the restaurant. A gem in the centre of one of London’s busiest areas.

However, the Folly was very safe and took all the necessary precautions in these times, we saw staff always following guidelines, wearing masks and disinfecting surfaces. We were able to relax and enjoy our meal without a single worry. This is a must in these times and it is clear to see how well the restaurant is run.

The Folly has been one of the first places we have visited since the grand reopening of London’s restaurant scene. This visit did not disappoint. From the aesthetics and lighting (which were spot on and made for some great Instagram shots) to the presentation of the drinks and food. We were delighted with the range of choices on the menu certainly providing something for everyone.

The dishes were simple with high attention to detail and delivering such wonderful flavours. We opted for the ‘charcuterie board’, a selection of Mediterranean delights such as chorizo and salami to prosciutto and manchego cheese.

The main course was one to savour. The chicken breast was complimented perfectly with beautifully blistered tomatoes and a dash of pesto to create a blend of flavours to dance on the tastebuds. We also ordered a classic cheeseburger, British beef with applewood cheese. Summing up how The Folly takes simple dishes and makes them special and tastier than what many others do, the attention to detail is key.

Each one standing out with traditional yet bold flavours. Each course is complemented wonderfully with sauces, be that mustard or an onion puree. The presentation on each dish is nothing short of delicate and delightful. You really believe each chef in that kitchen is an artist at work, producing an individually crafted masterpiece every time a dish is served. It really is a must-try if you want to sample the best Britain has to offer.

We cannot wait to visit there again to see what other masterpieces Aqua Shard have invented to wow and amaze our tastebuds. If you want to check out their menu you can do so here
