I thought I knew the definition of “crazy golf” until I came to Birdies Golf in Battersea. Wow was it fun, imaginative and ultimately, very crazy!

From teeing off to putting in (expertly might I add) on the ninth hole, Birdies Golf kept me entertained and surprised throughout, the addition of funky cocktails and tasty foods only added to the experience and felt a lot more thought through than most food and activity places.

Let the mind-bending, visually ridiculous crazy courses at Birdies take you away to a world of unbridled fun, complete with a drool-worthy menu from Cheeky Burger & a selection of famous Birdies cocktails guaranteed to blow your socks off.  The doors are open for your golfing pleasure from Tuesday to Sunday – They even got an outdoor patio if you prefer to dine al fresco.

Indulgent food? Oh, they had it. The menu had an interesting blend of Mexican and Asian styles. 

Food at Birdies is now brought to you by Cheeky Burger – run by classically trained chef Sebastian and his wife Marta, they are known for their raw, exciting approach to food and for creating some of the best burgers on the circuit. Cheeky Burger have been a fixture at street food markets and pop-ups in London and at festivals around the UK for years, winning Best Burger at the British Street Food Awards in 2016.

With vegetarian and vegan options too! I opted for the indulgent nachos and yaki stack skewers. So good. The big difference with Birdies is that they put genuine thought into their food, so it’s perfect for the vibe they give off but without skimping on quality and taste. 

Neon lights with cocktails to match? Yes please! Birdies is definitely a vibrant place, with every hole primely designed to be a separate Instagram post in itself. There was a great array of choice, whatever your taste in beverage.

Honestly, alcohol and mini-golf make such a great combination, coupled with the setting and design of the place, it all round makes for an incredibly fun experience… Of course, as long as you’re still able to hold a putter the right way round and achieve an unembarrassing score!!
